I just watched all 4 of these videos that make up the BBC Three special “Britain’s Gay Footballers.” Amal Fashanu, the niece of the first openly gay footballer Justin Fashanu, wants to know why there haven’t been any openly gay players since her uncle came out in the EARLY 90’s.
It was definitely really interesting. I thought the most eye opening thing about it is that most people she talked to said the biggest obstacle is administration instead of players or fans. Worth a watch.
